WEDDING GUEST ATTIRE: ZALANDO ADVIZE

Bloggers try to inspire other people. But from time to time we also need someone to consult with. We also need the feeling that we are doing something right in what we do. Long story short: Bloggers also need a source of inspiration and most importantly: We also need advice more than you could imagine. I normally ask my friends or other bloggers for advice but there are times when I just want to kill some time and find some websites that can be very helpful in some aspects. About a month ago I found Zalando ADVIZE. I am pretty sure that Zalando rings a bell in each and everyone of you. Same here. Now they have a website where they share much-loved topics regarding fashion and lifestyle and provide some real good advice for your lifestyle.

Well, I was casually clicking through their website and found this interview with Zalon stylists Anni. Such a coincidence. I was about to attend a wedding and I wasn’t sure what to wear. I feel like every wedding has it’s own rules. Some are more traditional and other weddings are more casual nowadays. The last thing you want to do is to offend the bride or groom. I feel like I have to handle with this problem over and over again, when I am invited to a wedding. You know me. I love wearing black, but is it really ok to wear this color to any occasion – especially one like this?  Lucky me. The article included the answer to my question!

My biggest problem was solved. I decided to pick this black outfit and was working off all the other points Anni explained in her Advize article. A classy outfit? Check. Flat shoes? Check. Normally I wouldn’t wear flats, because I really do feel more comfortable wearing heels, but in this case I didn’t want to ruin the delicate fabric of my palazzo pants by stepping on it with my heels. If you feel comfortable wearing heels, you should definitely wear them if you’re ready to party in heels all night. If you’re not, just be on the safe side by wearing flats and you’re good. No matter what.

Because I decided to wear all black, I knew I had to keep my accessories on the bright side and went with a cream-colored envelope clutch and gold flats. I have to admit that I would have never thought to wear these kind of shoes again, but it just felt like it went along with my maxi palazzo pants. Due to the sheer fabric I didn’t have to upgrade my outfit in any kind of way but felt like my job was do downgrade it a bit. That’s why I decided to go on a more natural make-up instead of going with the bold lip and smokey eyes. I added a bit of depth to my eyes by wearing a bit of dark-brown eye-shadow and put a nude lip-liner on. All in all I felt like I was ready for that wedding and wouldn’t feel uncomfortable as a guest. Thank you for your ADVIZE, Anni ;D
